Hypnosis and gambling addiction

Gambling addiction is a disease that can take many forms. Addiction to alcohol, tobacco or drugs is the most common form. Gambling addiction is another form that few people know about. This type of addiction is very common, but it is almost never considered a disease. Instead, it is a disease on all levels, whether it is psychological or related to loss of control.

Gaming addiction can have many negative consequences, including loss of money, sleep disturbances, compulsive shopping, bankruptcy, and divorce. Fortunately, gambling addiction is easily treated with a variety of treatment methods, including hypnosis.

How do you identify a gambling addiction?

A person with a gambling addiction is different from a person without one. There is nothing wrong with betting or spending time with friends from time to time. However, the limit has been exceeded when a person cannot live a day without gambling.

Gambling addiction has several signs:

  • The person spends too much money on gambling, often more than they can earn at work.
  • The person becomes completely isolated, rarely leaves the house and cuts all ties with friends and family.
  • The person struggles to stop gambling despite several attempts.
  • The person spends all day gambling. He often lies or pretends to tell the truth to hide his addiction.

Gambling often causes debt. To finance gambling, they may even take out loans or sell their possessions.

The person begins to feel helpless, depressed and unhappy and sometimes even becomes depressed. He sits in his corner alone when he cannot gamble.

Hypnosis for Gaming Addiction: a mild therapy called hypnosis can help people with gaming addiction by teaching them how to control their urges and help reduce most of the negative effects that gaming can cause. Basically, our addictions affect the way our brain works. For example, a person with a gaming addiction must play constantly to be happy. Otherwise, he or she will suffer. This pattern, ingrained in the brain, quickly becomes an inherent reality and cannot be removed.

Many people cannot cope with gambling addiction. People constantly repeat, “I really wish I could stop, but I can’t,” which leads to an addiction that essentially persists in their subconscious mind. This is where hypnosis can help. The patient is put into an altered state of consciousness during a hypnosis session. In this state, the brain gradually lowers its alertness, allowing the new information to take over. The hypnotherapist then gives the patient behavioral suggestions to help them cope with their addiction.
